I disagree. I thought we excelled during the late 1990's early 2000's
because we had running QBs that could make up for bad line play, especially QB protection. In those days, we were a 6-6 or 7-5 team without a QB that could escape the rush. We didn't beat Temple with a hobbled Clark, We didn't beat Miami in 2000 with a hobbled Vick. How did we do with Noel? Teams used to blitz us with impunity unless the QB escaped. Go back and look at some of the Vick highlight videos. How many were from when he was flushed from the pocket? Like all of them?
