I'm still not seeing how this is financially better than a home game

A home game brings in $2.4M. Yes, I realize no team comes to VT 2 years in a row. So let's just say we pay ODU and then Liberty. That's $4.8M that VT grosses.

As opposed to a home and home with ODU that only grosses the $2.4M.

A home game always brings in more revenue than any away game. The best financial situation is for VT to have 4 home OOC games. That would bring in the most revenue.

Also keep in mind, that's just ticket revenue. There's parking and concessions that VT takes in as well. So the gross is actually higher. And yes, I realize VT has to pay for a lot of game day services.
