Show me the math...
Show me how playing away is better than paying someone to show up. Because when I look at the numbers, they don't add up.
I'm not trying to be an arse, just trying to understand it. People say these things, but whenever I use real numbers, a home game always is better than an away game -- even if VT has to pay an opponent.
Again, let's just say VT pulls in $4M for a home game. After paying the opponent $1M (which is steep), they net $3M. If they have that same opponent two years in a row they net $6M.
Now instead, let's say it's a home and home so you don't need to pay the opponent. So VT has one home game and nets $4M (there's no need to pay anyone so it's all theirs). They get $0 for the away game which means they've netted $4M for the two games.
What am I missing?
