I suspect that before the ACC releases the conference schedule, it consults with at least ESPN to see if any changes need to be made to it so the conference schedule fits with ESPN's TV schedule. Not the other way around. I do find it interesting that Duke-UNC is the only rivalry game that the ACC schedules every year to be played on the last day (typically a Saturday) of the regular season.
