The weather is the whole problem.
Extenuating circumstances don't get much bigger than a CAT4 hurricane. I wouldn't want to do business with someone who doesn't understand that.
Tech's position was apparently very clear, we went all-in on a Wednesday decision. Midday Tuesday, Florence forced ECU's hand, and they shut down campus. The decision was made by their admin, undoubtedly factoring in Tech's firm stance in previous discussions.
In the aftermath, I expect Tech to have serious conversations with the ECU admin, in private, about the details of the contract, and the breakdown in communication. Not tweet out statements implying the folks facing a hurricane weren't being "responsible" during a declared state of emergency. That's unprofessional.
