They have recent history of horrible post-storm travel experiences, and I would guess that fed into things -- as did their seeming insistence on busing. I don't think there's any way they could confidently say they'd be able to bus from Blacksburg to Orlando safely and easily with all the devastation the storm was bringing to every state along the way.

Honestly, I think they panicked a little bit at the news of just about every other area game getting canceled or moved up and jumped the gun -- but I also believe that even if we'd waited until Wednesday they STILL would have had the same issues and STILL would have insisted on canceling the game and just heading to Florida.
