Not sure if a sports broadcaster came up with that, but it isn't even right. Regional would be a better choice. Again, no one uses that either. If not using the name, they are referred to by conference - MAC schools. Some friendly advice, I wouldn't refer to them as "directional Michigan schools" in public, unless you want people to look at you like you are wearing a tin foil hat. Just saying . . .
