No, it's not against the rules. Yes, it's perfectly legal. No, I don't have much issue with us doing it. But let's not try to paint it as some brilliant strategy and evidence of a top-notch coaching job. It's sketchy and leans toward unsportsmanlike, IMHO. I don't see how it can be legislated against, however, without expecting the refs to determine if an injury is legit or not. No way should they be expected to do that.
