Even with Frank Beamer no longer gracing the Virginia Tech sidelines, the Hokies showed that “Beamer Ball” is still in full effect. With Florida State’s Logan Tyler punting from right in front of the Seminoles end zone after a three-and-out, Virginia Tech tight end Chris Cunningham blocked Tyler’s punt and wide receiver Eric Kumah caught the ball in the air and ran it in the end zone, giving the Hokies their 21st blocked punt for a touchdown since 1987 and a 17–3 lead.

I knew it had been a while.
