VERY difficult angle for the kick...

There's not much margin for error on the hash when you're that close to the goalposts.

A miss and FSU gets out of the shadow of their goalposts and the ball. At least by failing to punch in the TD, FSU was stuck with nowhere to go backwards. If they were to move backwards at all (not exactly a bad bet last night) we get two points AND the ball.

The decision to go for it was correct.
