Me too
just considering everything together, i.e. slowed recruiting, assistants leaving, the final year for Buzz's original first full recruiting class, and just a hunch I have always had that he was committed to staying while those initial recruits were completing their eligibility and after that all bets were off. That day is upon us at the end of the upcoming season.
I believe the good working relationship Buzz and Whit have shown in public will continue through the coaching/recruiting transition period, and Whit will be right on top of the replacement process when (and if) it becomes official. Also, that Buzz will leave the program in good shape as opposed to the condition it was in when he got here, making for a better situation to attract solid incoming new head coach and assistants. It wouldn't even surprise me if Whit already knows who his next head coach will be, and that coach has his eyes already on our first 2019 class recruits, which will need to be a very solid class to continue our basketball success. JMO!
