I have a rule that if you give your notice, I shake your hand and thank you for your hard work and time with us. I've never tried to talk someone into staying. I've never heard of anyone staying long term after that. I've had DM's, RM's, etc. overrule me and make an emergency trip to my office to try to save someone. A few weeks later when they give notice again and leave, I usually just give them an I told you so look.

As many say with recruits, let's get the guys that want to be Hokies and let everyone else go somewhere else.
