A full scholarship, stipend, and exposure for NFL

Those are hardly scraps. The system and compensation is far from perfect but take away the logos on the helmets and it’s abundantly obvious that D1 caliber football players wouldn’t be especially valuable commodities. CFL, AFL, AAFL, XFL, and NFL Europe haven’t exactly raked in money despite the abundance of highly skilled players available.
