If he completes his set, wins the competition, its a viral video of everyone cheering in the weight room like we've seen a hundred times. Remember the old videos of Jim Druckenmiller power cleaning some sick weight to raucous applause? That's gym culture.

Guys get seriously injured in the gym all the time at big time programs. We've had guys with torn pecs, compartment syndrome, blown out backs. It happens.

Training to failure is not some medieval torture chamber. I used to do it all the time. People that weight train do it all the time, and here's the real thing...training to absolute failure is a choice. You can't "force" or "coerce" someone into doing that. They're done when they're done.
