Yep. And muscle failure was pushups, situps, things of that nature. Not

leg pressing 500 pounds 40 times or whatever ridiculous number it was. I do get skeptical or as I said, would love to have more players come forward as the head coach would not normally be running or supervising an event like that. Where was the strength and conditioning staff? Athletic Training staff? Lots of guilt and culpapbility to go around if those stories are true.
And I do agree with you, had this same conversation with my wife recently. College football/athletics is on the verge the proverbial cliff of crossing into professional sports if not already. It's become too big business and too much money involved to just call it collegiate sports. It is utter bull spit that star players who are bringing in LOADS of money to universities in ticket sales, jersey sales with PLAYER names on them, TV revenue, etc...and get no pay for it OTHER than the full scholarship. Which yes, is worth a lot if they graduate and earn a degree. BUT, athletes, especially football players/staff, do not live the normal college student life. They are basically "employed" year round to perform at the level required to win a championship. And a coach or coaches can leave at any moment without repercusson, but players can't transfer or if they do required to sit for a year, etc... It's just become way too flawed and semi-pro sportish.
