But it wasn't just a single player.


But in this case, it was the starting left side tackle, the position that commands a lot of money in the NFL, because that one player is supposed to protect the QB's blind side.

Now couple that with Phillips playing with an injury that eventually forced him to the side line.

And couple that with a QB that was forced to play with a bad foot and a bad throwing arm, and it's a wonder that JJ's numbers were as good as they were.

I get tired of JJ being dumped on, due to stuff beyond his control, like injuries, that keep getting worse, or at best never being allowed to heal some, due to a complete dud at #2 QB, like losing a very good, very experienced left tackle, like having the #1 WR playing for a long time with an eventual season ending injury, and like having a darn near non-existent running game.
