Of course, physically, he was broken by that time.
I recently saw pictures from JJ's Miami game uniform from last year. It had more green dye on it than white fabric. No QB we've ever had could have taken that beating, and kept on ticking.
Give JJ a relatively healthy season, and take a look at his numbers, and how he performed in games. If that isn't good enough to keep his job, fine. That would be a good thing.
