This wasn't a binary choice of either 10 years ago or now. The Big Ten network started 10 years ago - it was public knowledge before that. Swofford could have put this in motion at any point along that timeline.

Swofford was asked every single July at the ACC meetings about a conference network, and up until July 21, 2016, nothing was publicly announced about it actually happening. The questions were generally deflected, even as other conferences were hauling in the $$$. Fans were critical about this all along. You're acting like people's criticisms in this thread are something new and like we just woke up to Monday morning QB. People have been complaining all along that Swofford was asleep at the wheel.

And I love how you write as if I'm somehow responsible for coming up with a better idea, even though John Q. Public has resoundingly criticized Swofford for his handling of this in real-time, not after-the-fact. Dealing with this is literally **HIS JOB**
