I worked with Don for 5 years when we were both at WKEX in Blacksburg

I also was Don's spotter on the VA Tech football network for 2 seasons and also with Marty Brenaman when he was the voice of the Hokies for one season in the early 70's. Don was a great boss and good friend. I'll never forget the Sunday the Hokies won the NIT against Notre Dame and Don called me off the air and we drove to Roanoke to welcome the team home.
