So, since VT just lost their projected starting CBs Athlon ranks VT # 65?

To clarify... last time I checked there were 32 bowl games, and 64 teams went bowling, but those numbers change all the time.

I do think the national media loves JJ and Fuente/Foster and they want this to be a story. Like any preseason poll, it's going to be wrong, but it has to be interesting and maybe a little unexpected.

I think VT should be ranked about #25 to start the season, and jump up to #16 if they beat FSU, however, FSU was sort of ranked #64 last season (and barely got into a bowl game). IIRC they were in the top 3 to 5 this time last year. That's why I think FSU is a legit top 25 team.

Anyway... VT knew about most of the players they were going to lose from last year's team, and maybe weren't even counting on AA to be back. Fans love to pride themselves on their knowledge of the team, and football in general, but the coaches are some of the best in the business, and are all over this. I just don't understand the logic you used to be concerned that VT's bowl streak could be in danger, because we no longer have the projected starting CBs available to play this fall.
