So, you think that WITH Ford we could be undefeated?!!...


I'd love to get this fellow Stafford County resident to spend a few years in Blacksburg (three years tops, right?.. probably two). However, the running game is far more dependent on the OL than the RB. Any decent back with decent hands, decent speed and moves - who doesn't put the ball on the ground - can be very successful if holes open in front of him. Likely, we have that back on the roster, now. In this offense, the greater need is a back that can block and catch a pass. Would DF deliver these things? Maybe so. But, the RB position at VT is going to be rotational with the bulk of reps going to the guy/guys who best fits the RPO style. We won't be lining up in the wishbone any time soon.
