As an individual fan, I'm not necessarily going to say the PSU

game experience exceeds that of VT. Enthusiasm on a fan-by-fan basis is likely no different (old, unemotional fans can be easily found at both places along with droves of crazies)

But, the difference in magnitude of the event really can't be ignored. Tailgating is a religion. And the way Beaver Stadium is situated, there's an unbelievable amount of parking near the stadium. Imagine *all* (maybe more?) of our on-campus parking in one massive grassy field adjacent to the stadium. I took an RV one year and parked in a lot with at least 500 other RV's.

A 100,000+ capacity is impressive too. Probably not any louder because of design and because there are diminishing returns when you add fans far away, but 100,000+ around a football field *is* more impressive than 65,000. I've been to PSU, tOSU, LSU, and Nebraska (not all 100k+)...the difference in magnitude inside those stadiums can't be ignored.

And attending a spring game that has more attendees than our stadium could hold has to impress a kid too.

Not saying we don't put on a great show or that I don't absolutely love going to a game in Lane or that recruits who come to a game shouldn't be or aren't impressed...but we're not the big-time and there is a difference...especially in the eyes of a 17-year-old without a wealth of life experience
