UCF was ranked in the bottom half of the nation schedule wise. The best team they played was Memphis (not even top 25 in the Sagarin). USF wasn't even top 40. Alabama hammered Mississippi State (top 25 per Sagarin). LSU finished #19. While I'll admit that Bama's schedule wasn't exactly murderer's row, to argue for a second that UCF's was better is laughable. Absolutely ridiculous. Heck, per Sagarin, even FSU better than anyone that UCF had beaten.

Alabama played teams with a pulse who could beat them legitimately almost every week. That also included a rivalry game AT Auburn (much different from being the buzzkill opponent in a neutral sight game with no real consequences).
