I had friends who attended the University of Idaho, which is in Moscow, ID. Their campus is 8 miles away from Pullman, across the border in Washington state. Interesting tidbid: back when Wazzu and U of Idaho used to play regularly in football, if the road team lost, their fans would walk the 8 miles back to either Pullman or Moscow. And that's not as bad as it sounds: you get to walk thru a really pretty part of the Palouse.
