I think JJ starting sends a bad message to future CJF QB recruits

It shows that he isn't looking for dynamic playmakers with high upside that need to get experience and grow... Instead, he wants to play safe game managers that already have experience. Essentially, it's going to make it so that nobody is going to want to come here if the starting QB is set to return. It's the ultimate catch 22 for these young guys, they are getting punished for lack of in-game experience and yet that's causing them to go longer without the experience.

Fortunately, that might not be a problem that rears it's head in the next couple years since CJF gave the facade that the position was open which allowed us to get QP; but I think it sets a bad presence and could lead to several transfers.

Personally, I'm tired of our boring offenses - a game manager only helps us win the games we are supposed to win. If we ever really want to return to the championship we need high upside players that can carry games on their backs... sure they might give up a few picks but we have the D to back that up.
