somebody from being a reach. The point is NOBODY takes a chance on a first round pick they believe to be a reach. In later rounds they may reach but, reaching and failing in the first round gets you fired. Relevant to our discussion, there are organizations that repeatedly miss in first round which raises questions as to their ability and naturally to questions of whether they do reach. The Steelers track record does not generate or support that type questioning. Seems to me what you do not know what to do with is not the restraints on analysis but, how to reconcile your lower opinion of TE's abilities with a group of successful, paid professionals who think otherwise.
