Most of the time, the team probably knows that the player only plans on 1


year.

However, in the rare case of a "diamond in the rough" - ie, some guy rated #75 in the country comes in and DOMINATES and becomes a 1 and done, though not projected to be a 1 and done, I could see it being unfair.

But that's probably the one every 10 years exception that proves the rule.
