I just think (speculation - and since he is gone, I guess it is OK?) that he would not have qualified to get on the field. There was a solid report on the recruiting board that someone noticed that he stopped going to class in December, I think. That was all that I needed to hear.

I think he gutted it out to get his "quota" of school. I don't think he had the choice to get any further, and was actually smart in making the move the second he was NFL eligible. Still glad we got him - he had lots of other options out of HS. And I would love to see him have great NFL success, for his sake AND VT's.
