Settle had a plan from the beginning. He was going to do the best he could

to make his mark, and then go for it (NFL).

This is the only path for guys that aspire to be football players by trade , not "student athletes". He wasn't under any illusion that he was at VT for a college education - and as fans, we shouldn't have been either.

He is took his shot, when that shot became available. I hope he nails it the rest of the way.
