year. The event is run by Dave Odom, Ryan’s dad. Whether or not Buzz stays for a great trip out west, it’s good to see that VT will get a little more national exposure, and certainly more exposure for the Odom family tree.

While it may be more likely that Ryan is hired to take over a more storied program after this year’s tournament, if there’s ever a chance that CBW moves on, at least the Odoms will gain a better understanding of the value of running the VT basketball program.

Now I’m sure that I’ll receive lots of flak for making these connections. We’ll see what happens down the road with Buzz and VT eventual next b-ball coach. Either way, I know VT will be just fine.
