Tech is in the ACC so I don't understand why people don't root for the conference. You want UVA to win all non-conference games and then possibly root against them in the conference. The ACC shares the NCAA tourney revenue equally so Tech gets a share of the basketball tourney units that each conference team earns. A tourney unit is earned with each additional game played so I want all conference teams to advance. If the ACC starts to stink up the tourney, there will be fewer future bids and Tech might not get an invite. Also, ACC television contracts will get fatter if they have multiple bball national championships.
