It IS about the Officials
here's my point(s):
most officials do a great job and remain in the shadows of the game. However, some (maybe frustrated at their playing careers or just egos >>
Force themselves into starring roles of the games they call. Either though the bizarre unwarrented undesterved wrong call of the emphis of which they make the call (when the camera is on them. These demands to their egos DO affect the game and how the crowd/emotion flows with their calls. WRONG.
All have a certain tolerance level of letting coaches "work" them. K at Duke is the all time master. (Note our recent game with Duke and how the refs flocked to K's whimpers). Therefore, some teams "get the call" while other "get called" so that the ref doesn't have to tolerate certain coaches. WRONG.
There are obvious situaitons and due to shortage of decent refs leagus cannot/do not address them.
