When you are up 21 with 14 minutes left to play, you should NEVER let the game come to a point where the refs could have a material impact on the game. I agree there were some calls that seemed questionable at best. However, we completely changed the way we were playing and the shots that ND was clanking in the first half were falling in the second half. We were flying around on D in the first half and over committing but ND missed open shots. Having played yesterday, I thought ND might come out shooting well but would trail off as they tired out in the second half. Unfortunately, being the VT fan that I am, I was hanging on every possession when we built our 21 point lead thinking it wasn't enough.
