ESPN.com 4-star and 247Sports and Rivals 3-star quarterback prospect Joshua Jackson will announce his college choice at 11:30 a.m. Eastern today. By all accounts, Virginia Tech has a great chance to be the pick.
Jackson’s announcement will be live streamed on MLive Ann Arbor News. Besides Tech, the Saline (MI) rising senior is considering scholarship offers from Boston College, Minnesota, Northwestern, Oregon State, Syracuse, Utah and West Virginia, among others. Jackson has received 16 scholarship offers in total.
The 6’1″, 203-pound signal caller took an unofficial visit to Virginia Tech this past Saturday. His decision coming less than a week after the trip likely bodes well for the Hokies and offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Scot Loeffler, who is in search of a sure-fire quarterback in the class of 2016.
Jackson passed for 1,858 yards, 19 touchdowns and three interceptions his junior season, when he led Saline to the Division 1 state championship game. He rushed for almost 800 yards and 10 touchdowns as well.
