Virginia Tech Finishes Fall Semester 26th in Learfield Director’s Cup

With the fall semester come and gone, the fall standings of the Learfield Director’s Cup are out and Virginia Tech is just outside the top 25. The Hokies placed 26th overall, good enough for ninth in the ACC.

Here are all of the ACC teams and where they finished in the fall standings.

Virginia Tech scored points in the following four sports…

Women’s Cross Country – 28 points

Men’s Cross Country – 54 

FBS Football – 49

Men’s Soccer – 50 

In fall 2016, Virginia Tech was 49th in the Director’s Cup standings, and finished the year 40th overall. Virginia Tech’s 26th-place finish in this year’s fall standings is their best performance in the fall since 2014-2015, when the Hokies finished 27th. Tech went on to finish 35th overall for that academic year.
