Virginia Tech picked up a commitment on Friday from Green Run (Virginia Beach) wide receiver Jayden Anderson, who joined teammate Knahlij Harrell in making his pledge. He is the fourth commitment of the 2025 recruiting class and the third in-state commitment.

Anderson previously announced a top six in December of the Hokies, Maryland, Tennessee, Auburn, South Carolina and West Virginia, and he also lists offers from Boston College, Florida and Miami. He is the No. 8 prospect in the state of Virginia for 2025, according to Rivals, while On3 ranks him No. 19. He is currently unranked by 247Sports, but that should change soon.

Anderson was the teammate of 2024 Virginia Tech signee Keylen Adams, who was one of the top prospects in the state. He is also the teammate of fellow 2025 recruit Harrell, whose three finalists were the Hokies, West Virginia and Maryland.

Though he plays mostly on the outside in high school, Anderson is also capable of playing in the slot.

  1. Another electric receiver prospect – I like how things are shaping up to have quality players ready to step up when Jennings/Felton/Lane/Gosnell graduate.

  2. It’s almost as if you had these write ups prepared before they committed…can you please do this some more. I think all these players from Green Run will be good Hokies. Great pick ups.
