About TechSideline.com

Tech Sideline is an independent publication, not affiliated with the university or its athletic programs, so we provide a unique perspective that appeals to the large and growing fan base of Virginia Tech Athletics.

Tech Sideline was launched on March 12, 1996 by 1987 Tech graduate (BSEE) Will Stewart as a small, personal web page. In 1997, the site evolved into HokieCentral.com, and in August of 1999, joined the SportsWar network of college sports web sites. In November of 2000, the site changed names to TechSideline.com, or TSL. Over the years, TSL has grown into what you see before you: a full-time Virginia Tech sports media company, complete with web site, podcast, YouTube channel, and large and active social media presences.

TSL is a member of the SportsWar network of college sports web sites. Visit SportsWar.com for more information.

  1. Wow! Great interview she said some pretty profound things about the state of the program. I wish all of our sports were like this. I look at Women’s BB, Baseball and Softball and all of those teams seem to have a hard work give my all for the program mentality.

  2. All fans love winning teams but this team just gets more likable with every player I learn about. What a nice girl she must be to have as a teammate. It will be easy to cheer for her & this team again this year. Glad she’s now a Hokie!

    1. I fell in love with this team during Covid, alone at home but I got to see them on TV in an empty Cassel. They were playing for themselves, but I felt they were playing for me. I’ve caught them live, on TV on my laptop ever since.

May they keep on making me happy and winning along the way.

  3. Well, that was an easy interview, you didn’t have to drag anything out of her, just ask the question and let her rip. Love the “we” talk, understanding the atmosphere and ready to go.

  4. Wow. To hear her perspective on coach Brooks, the staff and the culture really makes you grateful for this program. She will be a real leader and calming force.
