A 6-5, 190-pound small forward from Orlando, Fla., Johnson visited Blacksburg in late August and committed soon after. Though unranked by 247Sports, he’s a three-star prospect according to Rivals and On3 and is a top-20 player in the Sunshine State in the 2024 class. Nationally, he’s a top-250 prospect.
Johnson held offers from Appalachian State, Clemson, Florida Atlantic, Illinois, Texas Tech and UCF, among others.
Tech’s updated scholarship breakdown with the addition of Johnson is below. His commitment gives the Hokies three small forwards on next year’s roster along with Tyler Nickel (6-7) and John Camden (6-8). The program has four open scholarships for next season, though Lynn Kidd and Mylyjael Poteat both have the option to return thanks to COVID.

Mekhi Long type player..
Welcome to the Hokie Nation !!!
supposedly he is very underrated and is better than his 3-star ranking would indicate.
How firm is his commitment? He’s only 101% committed, not 110% 😏
I thought he was wearing a dress in that bottom right pic!
And.., now the pic is gone. I need some sleep
