Virginia Tech picked up yet another commitment on Monday, this time from New Jersey offensive tackle Aidan Lynch. He is the 10th commitment of the 2024 recruiting class and the second offensive lineman.

With a great frame and a wingspan of 81 3/8″, Lynch is projected to play offensive tackle at Virginia Tech. He’s ranked as the No. 12 and No. 19 player in New Jersey by 247Sports and On3, respectively. He has been assigned a 3-star rating by each service.

Lynch officially visited Blacksburg this past weekend. He also had an official visit scheduled for Vanderbilt later this month, but that visit has been canceled. 247 also lists him with scholarship offers from Penn State, West Virginia, Boston College, Georgia, Michigan State, Nebraska, Pitt and Stanford.

With Lynch, Andrew Hanchuck and Gabriel Williams coming on board over the last two days, Virginia Tech’s class ranking via 247Sports has risen to No. 26 nationally.

  1. So excited Tech is recruiting in NJ! I have been saying for years that NJ has the highest percentage of out of state students and a crazy fan base so it should be a great place for us to recruit!

  2. That’s my high school!
They’ve rarely had anyone play in D1 so this is very exciting news.

  3. Looks like a Hoss!
Welcome to Blacksburg sir. Look forward to seeing you manhandle some opposing lineman and heaven help the poor cornerback that gets in your way!
I like these recruiting commitments we’re receiving this week!!!

  4. What a recruiting turnaround — we’re now landing commitments from guys with real P5 offers!!

  5. Offer from Pitt? Sorry, Narduzzi, it looks like we’re hitting MD and NJ and taking guys from you.
