6-3, 185

Virginia Tech got its seventh commitment in the 2024 class Sunday when Charlotte safety Quentin Reddish announced his pledge to the Hokies on Twitter.

Reddish, who had over 20 offers, previously listed finalists of Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and NC State. He visited Blacksburg this past weekend.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound safety is a three-star prospect, ranked as the No. 31 player in North Carolina and No. 1,040 player nationally, according to 247Sports’ Composite rankings.

He had 76 tackles, two TFLs, five interceptions and 15 pass breakups last year as a junior. He’s the second defensive back in the Hokies’ 2024 class, joining Oakton athlete Joshua Clarke.

  1. Good size. Great vision. Good ball hawk skills. Needs to tackle a little lower and develop some Chamarri Conner impact technique. Good potential.

  2. He looks like a player. He looked a WR on some of those leaping interceptions. The offensive coaches might want him in the WR room.
