Virginia Tech football’s annual spring game is Saturday, April 15 at 3 p.m. ET at Lane Stadium. Gates open at 1 p.m. ET.

Like all ACC schools, the contest will be televised on ACC Network Extra. For full information on the league’s spring games, click here. Bill Roth and Mike Burnop will also have the radio call on the Virginia Tech Sports Network beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET.

Admission to the Hokies’ event is complimentary. Instead of charging for tickets, Tech is encouraging fans to support the school’s NIL (Name, Image and Likeness) efforts. For more information on Virginia Tech’s NIL initiatives, click here.

Tech will split into two even teams for the spring game, and it’ll be a four-quarter affair. There will be a running clock in the second half. Depending on the speed of the game, the fourth quarter may be shortened to fit in the TV window.

Outside of football, there is a slew of activities in Blacksburg over the course of the weekend. Baseball has a three-game series at English Field vs. Georgia Tech, men’s tennis is at home on Friday and Sunday (vs. Georgia Tech and Clemson, respectively) while lacrosse hosts Clemson on Saturday. There’s also the Run In Remembrance 3.2 for 32 on Saturday at 9 a.m. ET.

  1. “Getting the word out?”
    “Working on commission?”
I don’t even understand those comments. I’m new here but I thought the point was exclusively Tech sports coverage. It’s not a newspaper..

  2. “Like all ACC schools…” except UVA. They get regular ACCN coverage. Because they put on a better “show” than the rest?

    1. Because they had a tragedy in November and they’re going to use the spring game to honor the fallen players.
