Virginia Tech picked up another commitment on Sunday evening when Hermitage (VA) running back Jeremiah Coney made his pledge to the Hokies. He is the 21st commitment of the 2023 recruiting class and the second running back with Tralon Mitchell.
Coney was committed to Appalachian State, but he recently picked up a Virginia Tech offer and took an official visit over the weekend. He made his commitment at the end of his visit.
Ranked as a 3-star prospect and the No. 42 player in Virginia by 247, Coney is also listed with offers from Boston College, James Madison, UVA, ODU, Marshall, and several others. He has been a very productive player for Hermitage in Richmond over the past two seasons…

2022: 209 carries, 1,408 yards, 21 TDs

I like the way he glides away from tacklers, and then has the speed and the fluidity to fine the end zone. Looks like a good one. Yay!
App State has had excellent RB’s for a decade.
Looks fast. Not much between the tackles running or super physicality. Don’t we need a durable physical runner? He looks good and glad he is a Hokie.
Welcome..we need him.. Hope he is an early contributor
Great size and speed! Welcome aboard !
Exact same size as Cole Beck
But he’s just a high school senior, he still has time to bulk up and get stronger.
