Virginia Tech picked up a transfer portal commitment from Temple wide receiver Jadan Blue on Friday night. He joins quarterbacks Grant Wells and Jason Brown in Blacksburg as the Hokies look to improve their passing attack.

Blue is from Randallstown, MD, and he has one year of eligibility remaining. At 6-0, 190, he could potentially play in the slot or on the outside.

Blue caught a total of 169 passes for 1,672 yards and 10 touchdowns during his Temple career. That includes a sophomore season that saw him catch 95 passes for 1,067 yards and four touchdowns. He has also returned 17 kickoffs for 336 yards during his career.

Virginia Tech is expected to bring in more players through the transfer portal, and another wide receiver would not be surprising.

      1. Looks like it was QB play. Temple had two QBs over 150 attempts this season, and they combined to complete about 58% of their passes, with just 10 TDs and 8 interceptions. Temple’s team pass efficiency rating of 112.2 was 116th (out of 130) in the nation this year. Yards per completion (9.9) ranked 126th in the nation. So … bad.

  1. Load it up Coach Pry! This kid looks great! Just wish he had 2 years eligibilty.

    LET’S GO HOKIES!!!

  2. Nice pickup! Effective in the red zone and shifty runner. Slot receiver and possible punt/kickoff returner.
