Virginia Tech picked up an in-state commitment on Tuesday afternoon when running back Bryce Duke made his pledge for the Hokies.  He is the 12th commitment of the 2022 recruiting class, and the first running back.

Duke plays for Tuscarora High School in Leesburg, VA.  He recently visited Virginia Tech and earned a scholarship offer after putting up 1,772 all-purpose yards and 25 touchdowns in an abbreviated eight-game junior season.  He averaged over 200 all-purpose yards per game.

Duke chose the Hokies over Rutgers and Duke.  247 Sports ranks him as the No. 23 prospect in the state of Virginia for the 2022 class.
