I was a Jr at Tech in 99. I remember all week leading up to that first ESPN Game Day appearance. My friends and I were worried we would not get enough fans out that day. We just kept talking about how we needed to show up in force.
That night I went over to the stadium looking for a ticket, and a guy looked at me and asked “are you planning to go to the game, or sell the ticket?” I was planning to go in. I went alone and that crushing of SU was epically exciting, even without any of my buddies.
