Justin Fuente’s Hokies are ranked #25 in both polls.

Virginia Tech was knocked out of both the AP Poll and the Coaches Poll following their 31-17 defeat at the hands of Syracuse.  However, their convincing 37-16 win over Miami on Thursday night has the Hokies ranked again in both polls.

Tech is #25 in both the AP Poll and Coaches Poll this week.  They are one of five ACC teams ranked in both polls.

Clemson: #3 in both polls
Louisville: #5 in both polls
Florida State: #12 in the AP Poll, #14 in the Coaches Poll
North Carolina: #21 in the AP Poll, #20 in the Coaches Poll
Virginia Tech: #25 in both polls

The Hokies return to action on Thursday night when they travel to Pitt, who received two votes in both polls this week.  Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm, and the game will be televised by ESPN.

  1. Agreed. Forget the polls, beat Pitt. Any poll that has two teams with identical records that played head to head, and one team beat the other by 31 pts in their house and they are behind them…then those polls are crap anywayd

    1. Yes! Don’t pay attention to the polls. Kind of reminds me of the election pre polls this year…lol

  2. Forget the polls – beat the Panthers!!!!!!! Polls will take care of themselves along with the bowls. Priority 1 is beating Pitt!!!!!!!
