Brookville (Lynchburg, VA) athlete Logan Thomas still seems a long way from being able to make a college choice, but he has made at least one important decision in his recruiting process. The 6-6, 220-pound junior has decided which sport he wants to play in college.

“I’m going with football. You can put that down,” Thomas said. “I really haven’t seen any interest in basketball and I think I can go past the next level in football, so that is why I’m going with football.”

Thomas has enjoyed recruiting success recently, reaching double-digit scholarship offers. Clemson, Duke, N.C. State, Auburn and Tennessee are the latest programs to offer, joining Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and West Virginia. And more schools, including Alabama, Michigan, Pitt and Stanford, are showing significant interest.

“I’m definitely excited by all my options,” Thomas said. “It is great to have so many options and I’m interested in all of them. I don’t have any favorites right now.”
