The following is Virginia Tech’s current roster for the 2024-25 season. Players who have entered the transfer portal have been crossed out.
G Sean Pedulla, Sr. – entered the transfer portal
C Lynn Kidd, Sr. – transfer portal, signed with Miami
C Mylyjael Poteat, Sr. – entered the transfer portal, but then decided to return to Virginia Tech.
G Jordan Ivy-Curry, Sr. – will transfer to Virginia Tech from UTSA, but has since decommitted from Virginia Tech.
G Hysier Miller, Sr. – will transfer to Virginia Tech from Temple.
F Ben Burnham, Sr. – will transfer to Virginia Tech from College of Charleston.
C/F Tobi Lawal, Jr. – will transfer to Virginia Tech from VCU.
F John Camden, r-Jr. – transfer portal
G MJ Collins, Jr. – transfer portal
G/F Tyler Nickel, Jr. – transfer portal
C Patrick Wessler, r-So.
F Rodney Brown Jr., So. – will transfer to Virginia Tech from Cal.

Virginia Tech currently has three scholarships available.
Note that I’ve removed the list of players below that Virginia Tech has reportedly reached out to. There were over 60 names on the list, and it was too difficult to keep track of when players were committing to other schools. Plus, 50% of Tech’s transfer commits thus far were never reported as having made contact with the Hokies before they committed, so keeping a long list like that seems somewhat pointless.
