Malik Washington Talks Virginia Tech, Gives Timetable

Malik Washington
Quarterback, Class of 2025
Archbishop Spalding, Severn, MD
6-4, 200

In January, Archbishop Spalding (Md.) four-star quarterback Malik Washington had a top six, but there’s been plenty of movement since then. Coaches have left or moved, other recruits have made verbal commitments, and now Washington has mostly moved on.

Washington had a top six of Virginia Tech, Maryland, Syracuse, Oregon, Penn State and Texas A&M. But he only has official visits set to the first three, with two others now in the mix. With visits set over the coming weeks, Washington is moving towards making a decision.

“Really, I’m just looking where I feel most at home,” he said. “It’s where I can work out every day, where I’m glad I’m there. I don’t see myself as a guy who will hop in the portal after my first year. So, it’s where I want to go and be developed.”
