It’s been a tough month for Virginia Tech women’s basketball fans.
First, the Hokies lost Elizabeth Kitley to a torn ACL, which ended their chances of getting a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Then they were bounced by Baylor from the NCAA Tournament while rumors of Kenny Brooks’ future hung over Cassell Coliseum. As we watched the game on Sunday night, either in person or on television, we knew we quite possibly could be watching the end of an era. Then, on Tuesday morning, it happened: Brooks left for Kentucky.
